Fontself takes your privacy very seriously. Please read the following to learn more and understand our privacy and cookie policy (this "Privacy Policy").

 This Privacy Policy (together with our Terms of Service) outlines how Fontself will process and use any personal information that you provide Fontself or that Fontself collects from you. 

Personal information means any information that personally identifies you (such as your name, address, gender, age, IP address or email address).

 By registering or using the Fontself website at http://www.fontself.com (the "Fontself Website") or any of its products, software and services (the "Fontself Services”) you agree to our use of your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

The data controller (i.e. the legal person responsible for controlling, keeping and using your personal information) is:

INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE

 Fontself collects personally identifiable information when you register for a Fontself account (the "Account"), when you enter promotions or sweepstakes, and, in some instances, when you visit the Fontself Website or use Fontself Services on partners’ sites.

• When you register with Fontself, we request that you provide your name, email address, gender, age, language and indicate whether you prefer to receive emails and marketing offers from us.  Anytime you use the Fontself Website and log in, you are no longer anonymous to us. 
• Fontself also automatically receives and records information from your browser including IP address, Fontself cookie information and the page you requested. This information is recorded in our server logs.
• In some instances, during registration, you will be given the option to register with one of our partners. If you opt to do so, Fontself will forward whatever information was requested during the co-registration process to the partner. From that point, forward any personal information collected by the co-registration partner will reside its servers and is subject to the partner’s privacy policy.

 Fontself uses information for the following general purposes:

• to fulfill your requests for products and services,
• to personalize the advertising and content you see, based on the details given by you at registration and your activity at Fontself,
• to improve our services,
• to contact you,
• to conduct research, and compile statistics on usage patterns, and
• to provide anonymous aggregate reporting for internal and external clients.

Fontself may use third-party advertising companies to serve ads when you visit the Fontself Website. These companies may use information (not including your name, address, email address, or telephone number) about your visits to the Fontself Website and other websites in order to provide you with relevant advertisements.

Should you not wish to receive personalised advertisements while on the Fontself Website or while using the Services, you may need to disable cookies and/or opt out of off-network targeting.  Note that disabling cookies will prevent you from logging into your Fontself account to use advanced features like saving your personalised fonts or sending messages using Fontself Mail Composer. INFORMATION SHARING AND DISCLOSURE

Under no circumstances will Fontself sell or rent your personally identifiable information to anyone.

Fontself may send personally identifiable information about you to other companies or people only when:

• it has obtained your consent to such sending
• it needs to share your information to provide the product or service you have requested
• it needs to send the information to companies that work on behalf of Fontself to provide a product or service to you (unless we tell you differently, these companies do not have any right to use the personally identifiable information we provide to them beyond what is necessary to assist us.); or
• it responds to subpoenas, court orders, legal process, or to any legitimate request by authorities with which we must comply.

Fontself may also transfer information about you if Fontself acquires or is acquired by or merged with another company. In that case, we will notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Fontself may share non-personally identifiable information in order to report regularly to copyright holders such as external font designers on the purchase and the usage of their creations and to pay any applicable royalties. Such reporting is done with aggregate data without disclosing any of your personal information.

COOKIES

Fontself may set and access a Fontself cookie on your computer in order to identify you and collect data on your usage of our products and Services.

Fontself uses web beacons to access its cookies within the Fontself Website, in connection with Fontself products and Services, and to track your activities when you use products services on partners’s websites.

DATA STORAGE

Account Information – When you register for an Account or submit information to Fontself, a temporary copy (“backup”) of that information is routinely made to prevent accidental loss of your information through a computer malfunction or human error.

Fontself keeps your Account information active in our user registration databases in order to provide immediate access to your personalization preferences and advanced features each time you visit the Fontself Website.

As Fontself servers (specialized computers) service your requests for pages, or image files (as you edit or display Fontself messages), they process and store an enormous amount of information which is recorded and stored (or “logged”) daily on “log” files.

These log files are used for analysis, research, auditing, and other purposes, as described above. Once this information has been used, it is stored for safekeeping and is not accessible to any third parties; however, until the information is stored, your Account may remain in our active server’s log files for an indefinite period of time.

Ability to edit/delete Account information and Preferences

You have the ability edit your Account Information and preferences from the Fontself Website at any time, including whether you want Fontself to contact you about specials, new products and for customer feedback.

You may request deletion of your Account at any time by contacting our Customer Care team and confirming your choice to terminate the account.

In most cases, upon receiving your request for deletion, your Account will be deactivated and then deleted from our user registration database in approximately 90 days.

Please note that any information that we have copied may remain in back-up storage for some period of time after your deletion request. This may be the case even though no information about your account remains in our active user databases.

Confidentiality and Security

A publicly accessible area is any area of Fontself that is accessible by the general public and may be indexed by search engines.

Fontself, on the Fontself Website and through its partners,  offers you the opportunity to post, submit and exchange content and information on publicly accessible areas, such as leaving comments on public forums, public walls (in social networks), blogs, or simply by sending a Fonself message (if the recipient ever decides to publish it online)

You should exercise caution if you choose to disclose personally identifiable information in a publicly accessible area of the Fontself Website, Services or through our partners. Remember that this information may remain indefinitely publicly accessible.  You are solely responsible for any personally identifiable information that you disclose and disseminate on publicly accessible areas.

If you have a concern about any personally identifiable information you have posted on any publicly accessible areas and are unable to delete or edit it, please contact Customer Care.

User acknowledges that the use of the internet is not safe and that there are certain inherent risks to your personal data. Fontself shall make reasonable efforts to protect your personal data but it cannot guarantee or warrant that data you provide to Fontself is safe and protected from unauthorized third party access and it therefore waives all liability in this respect.

Your personal information will be collected and processed in Switzerland, regardless of the country you are resident or from which you are using our Services. Fontself may transfer and export the data to other countries, including the USA, even if such country does not offer the same level of data protection as Switzerland or that of your country of residence.

RETENTION OF RECORDS AND OFFICIAL INQUIRIES

Fontself may make your personal information available to governmental authorities when required to do so and in the event of illegal activities, or violations of the Terms of Service. Your personal information will be stored by Fontself in accordance with the provisions of applicable data protection and telecommunication laws. Fontself will keep and delete your personal information in accordance with such provisions, unless we receive orders from state authorities, such as courts, requiring to store and maintain such personal data at the disposal of the authorities.

RIGHTS TO ACCESS YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

You may at any time, request access to User’s personal information collected by Fontself, request that inaccurate information be amended, or that the collected personal data be erased.

ADDITIONAL PRIVACY POLICIES

You acknowledge that additional privacy policies may apply to specific Fontself Services, such as widgets.

CHANGE TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

Fontself may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Fontself will notify you about substantial changes in the way we use your personal information by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in your Fontself account, or by posting a prominent notice on the Fontself Website.

It is your responsibility to consult the Fontself Website from time to time, take notice of any changes, and contact us  if you do not agree with the new Privacy Policy and wish to stop using the Services.
